Career Awareness Week
April 8 – April 10, 2019
Activities planned to increase our students’ awareness of the world of work are as follows:
Monday, April 8 – “What I Want To Be” Silhouette Day
Silhouettes will be sent home with students on April 4, 2019. Students are encouraged to be creative in decorating these silhouettes to show, “What I Want To Be When I Grow Up”. Please return silhouettes to school by April 8th so they can be displayed in the halls for Career Week.
Tuesday, April 9 – Career Dress- Up Day and Parade
Students and staff are encouraged to dress up to represent “What They Want To Be When They Grow Up”. Everyone who “dresses” will be included in the Career Parade. The parade will begin at 8:00 and proceed through the halls of GPS.
Wednesday, April 10 – Career Vehicle Day
Each class will have a designated time (8:00-
12:00) to visit a variety of vehicles representing many careers. The event will take place on the bus loop and adjacent grassy areas.
